The twinned problems of inadequate health care facilities and uncertain access to existing ones is frustrating not just for poor countries but also for some communities and areas in developing and developed countries. One would think that health care and education would be the highest priorities of any government. However, a vast majority of countries are crippled by stunted policies that does not address health care and education adequately. A healthy population invariably contributes to higher productivity that will have a positive impact on the economy.

The scarcity of health care facilities, coupled with the problem of accessing existing ones remain a big problem facing many underdeveloped countries. Thousands of people die every year from simple curable diseases. This is human tragedy that requires our attention, help, and humanity to help save lifes.

Doctor Nnachi Oko is very familiar with these problems from his experience doing medical mission in many countries. Inspired from a young age with a desire to help people in need, he has spent at least 30 years right from medical school doing medical mission and running a medical practice in South Florida coupled with his involvement in medical education as clinical professor of Family Medicine at Nova Southeastern University.

Doctor Oko founded Global Health and Education Alliance and privately funded the organization together with this wife Christina C. Oko to help those in need of health care and education.

There are many places in the world where basic medical care and basic education opportunities are not available. In these areas, services such as simple wound care from a machete cut, child birth, immunization, and minor illness often require long distance travel and costs that are impossible to meet. The end result is usually death.

Medical and education missions has helped to address the needs of people in many places but they are just temporary fix because when the mission ends they are back to square one until the mission comes back which may take months.

To remedy this situation, a permanent site of a small clinic or infirmary centralized within communities in need staffed with local people trained in basic health care to provide continuity of care will be more effective. The clinic or infirmary can be built with bricks or mortar equipped with up-to-date medical equipment and pharmaceuticals.

Medical care and education issues are continuous problems because no body can predict who gets sick today or tomorrow regardless of your location.

Basic medical care and education is a human necessity. We are all in this together. No body knows tomorrow. With your donation we can make a difference in the life of thousands of people locally, nationally, and globally.

We appreciate your patronage and donation. Please join us to make a difference.
